About

The operation of what is now Robertet Canada Inc was established in 1986 as Ecom. Over the years the company expanded a number of times, so that it presently operates on a 1 ha (2.5 acre) site just north of Toronto. The current building covers about 3 700 sq metres (40 000 sq ft) On site we have two laboratories, extraction and reaction flavor production, plus liquid blending and dry ingredients processing. 

In 1991 we accepted the challenge from a multinational flavor company to acquire its extraction facility. And in May 2021 Ecom became part of the Robertet family.

Over the years we have changed to meet market, client and regulatory needs. As a result we have developed lines for which we are now known: antioxidants, a wide range of extracts, natural flavor enhancers, a competitive range of natural colors, reaction flavors, and specialized flavors to support clients’ applications.

We define ourselves as being in the service business – we provide our service by supplying ingredients.

Continuous investment means that our facility meets or exceeds standards for food safety, sanitation, security and the environment.
